About Katwa Subdivision & Tourist Spots in Katwa Subdivision

Katwa subdivision (Bengali: কাটোয়া মহকুমা ) is a subdivision of the Bardhaman district in the state of West Bengal, India. It consists of Katwamunicipality, Dainhat municipality and five community development blocks: Katwa–I, Katwa–II, Ketugram–I, Ketugram–II and Mongolkote. The five blocks contain 46 gram panchayats and one census town. The subdivision has its headquarters at Katwa. Area: Apart from the Katwa municipality  and Dainhat municipality, the subdivision contains one census town and rural areas of 46 gram panchayats under five community development blocks: Katwa–I, Katwa–II, Ketugram–I, Ketugram–II and Mongolkote. The only census town under this block is Panuhat. Blocks: Katwa–I Block: Rural area under Katwa–I block consists of nine gram panchayats, viz. "Mera Naam Joker" (Hindi: मेरा नाम जोकर, Urdu: میرا نام جوکر, translation: My Name is Joker) is a 1970 Hindi film directed by Raj Kapoor. The screenplay was written by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas. This film was the debut of Rishi Kapoor. Mera Naam Joker is a film about a clown who must make his audience laugh at the cost of his own sorrows. The film is reportedly inspired by Raj Kapoor's own life and the clown an allegory for his own life as an actor.   Starring; Raj Kapoor Simi Garewal Manoj Kumar Rishi Kapoor Dharmendra Dara Singh Kseniya Ryabinkina Padmini Rajendra Kumar Music is by Shankar Jaikishan.
